About this Artist

Composer Veronika Krausas, who is of Lithuanian heritage, was born in Australia , raised in Canada, and currently lives in Los Angeles. She has directed, composed for, and produced multimedia events that incorporate her works with dance, acrobatics, and video. She has been commissioned by and/or and performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Concertgebouw, The Industry, New York City Opera, Calgary Opera, Tanglewood’s Festival ofContemporary Music, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Musikfabrik at the Darmstadt festival, Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity, Chicago Architecture Biennial (2016), Piano Spheres, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, ERGO Projects, Esprit Orchestra, Fort Worth Opera, Jacaranda Music, Motion Music, San Francisco Choral Artists, and the Penderecki String Quartet. She is currently on the composition faculty at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles.
