About this Artist

Susan M. Anderson, an independent curator and art historian, was formerly on the West Coast Advisory Board, Smithsonian Institution, Archives of American Art, and chief curator of Laguna Art Museum. Among her many recent museum exhibitions and publications are San Diego Surreal (2019); Valley of Gold: Southern California and the Phantasmagoric (2020); Enrique Martínez Celaya, SEA SKY LAND: towards a map of everything (2022); and Dancing with Charlie: Bay Area Art from the Campbell Collection (2022).
