Rodrigo Prieto is a three-time Academy Award-nominated cinematographer best known for his work in Brokeback Mountain, Babel, Argo, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Silence. Most recently, Prieto’s stunning visual work can be seen in Martin Scorsese’s film Killers of the Flower Moon for AppleTV+. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Lily Gladstone. This marks the fifth collaboration between Prieto and Scorsese. Prieto’s work can also be seen in the Greta Gerwig smash hit Barbie, which premiered July 2023 and is projected to be the highest-grossing movie of that year. Prieto recently wrapped his directorial debut, an adaptation of Juan Rulfo’s masterpiece Pedro Páramo for Netflix. Prieto has also earned three BAFTA Film Award nominations and four American Society of Cinematographers Award nominations.
