About this Artist
Noah Jenkins is a composer and violinist from Oregon now living in Chicago. Much of his recent music takes an experimental approach to the exploration of audible processes, acoustic phenomena, and thresholds of perception.
Upcoming projects include a recording project with trombonist Riley Leitch and a piece for sax quartet and string quartet, and Noah has recently written for the Wet Ink Large Ensemble, Ensemble Dal Niente, saxophonist Brandon Quarles, and trombonist Weston Olencki.
Noah holds degrees in composition and violin performance from the University of Oregon and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Northwestern University studying composition with Hans Thomalla, Alex Mincek, and Jay Alan Yim.
