Michael Anthony Spady is best known for his leading role in The Hammer (AFI Fest Audience Award for Best Feature Film and a supporting role in Sympathy for Delicious, (Sundance Film Festival Jury Prize Winner, starring Mark Ruffalo, Juliette Lewis, Orlando Bloom and Laura Linney).
Spady is one of the most notable deaf actors currently on screen and stage. He has done numerous plays, including the role of Chief Liem, in the award winning, off Broadway show, Emperor Jones.
He has appeared on numerous television shows such as Cold Case, Love That Girl , The New Normal. He will next appear in a guest starring role on a Netflix series yet to be announced. Spady has also done a few commercials as well as appeared in music videos with the likes of musical artists such as Busta Rhymes and Linkin Park.
Spady also starred in the award winning short film, The Championship Rounds opposite Harold Perrineau, Rutina Wesley and Lawrence Gilliard. MICHAEL, a feature version of the aforementioned short, will also star Spady.
Spady received his training at the prestigious Stellar Adler Conservatory in Hollywood under a full scholarship, thanks to his good friend and mentor, Mark Ruffalo.
