About this Artist

Katherine Cowgill is from Minneapolis, MN and began training dance at 5 years old. She trained at Minnesota Dance theater and later the School of American Ballet in New York City. At 18 she joined the Los Angeles Ballet, performing corps and soloist roles for the company, including featured character roles. Upon leaving the company she began her tenure as a faculty member at the Colburn School TZDI. During this time, she has performed works by Kitty McNamee for the Cabrillo Music Festival and the LA Opera, as well as works by Kate Helen Fischer. Katherine also choreographs having her work presented at the MOCA Geffen, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, and the Colburn School she has been featured as a dancer in the Zara Spring 2021 Campaign and Skims Campaign by Vanessa Beecroft.
