Georgia Belmont is a native of the United Kingdom, currently living in Los Angeles and New York City. In April 2023, Ms. Belmont made her US theatrical debut as Mrs. Nordstrom in the Tony Award- winning Pasadena Playhouse’s production of Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. Ms. Belmont is a Young Artist with Kentucky Opera for the upcoming 2023-2024 season, where she will make her house and role debut as Edith in Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance. In May 2022, Ms. Belmont received her Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance from Rice University, where she also received her Bachelor’s of Music. At Rice, she performed the roles of Poppea in Händel’s Agrippina, as well as Le Feu/ Le Rossignol in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les sortilèges. In January 2023, Ms. Belmont was named a semi-finalist in Houston Grand Opera’s Eleanor McCollum Competition. In the summer of 2022, Ms. Belmont joined Des Moines Metro Opera once again, covering the roles of Isabella Stewart Gardner in Peter’s American Apollo and Peaseblossom, Cobweb, and study-covering Titania in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She was also an Apprentice Artist with DMMO in 2021 and 2020.
