About this Performance

Iconic pianist Lang Lang tackles Bach’s iconic masterwork, a tour de force on which several renowned pianists have made their reputation. Brilliantly constructed and ingeniously realized, these 30 variations on a simple bass line include numerous canons, dance movements, progressive complexity, and touching tenderness, all in perfect balance.
