About this Artist
Casey Weisman is a 2021/22 fellow in the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program and a 17-year-old senior at Harvard-Westlake school. His love for composing blossomed naturally after performing his own variations at his first piano recital at five years old. Over the following years, his pieces grew in complexity, and in 2020, he began studying under Ian Krouse. He has participated in the Sunset ChamberFest Young Composers Workshop twice, as well as the Borromeo TinyFest Chamber Music Workshop. Casey’s love for music extends beyond classical concert composition. He has amassed a million streams with his electronic music and composed original music for Harvard-Westlake’s theater department. He plays piano and cello and is leader and music director of the Harvard-Westlake Outreach Performers. Casey is also an avid writer and fascinated by fantasy and storytelling. He considers creative writing and music to be inseparable passions.
